Kunstenfestival Borkel en Schaft

The Kunstenfestival Borkel en Schaft will take place from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 October 2023. This new event, which is being held for the first time, is the result of a collaboration between a group of artists and residents of this Brabant village right on the border with Belgium.

The aim of the Arts Festival is not only to show and hear beautiful things, but also to connect with the community itself and to bring out the stories from the village. Fifteen to twenty artists will show their work at various locations during the first weekend of October. In March they were able to see all locations in the village and based on that they made a choice where they want to exhibit. There will be work in the church, an artist is busy making something for the miller's house and art can also be seen in the garden of the mayor's house.

In addition to the art route, there is a program for the pupils of primary school Servatius. They will be working on the Art in the Classroom project. The results of that project will be on display during the Kunstfestival in Dorpshuis d'n Teut. Painting club De Quasten also exhibits and of course there is music!
