Fun for Kids

Families with kids are more than welcome in Valkenswaard, and there is plenty to discover for our young visitors. The petting zoo on the edge of nature reserve De Kleine Meer, for example. They often organise fun (educational) activities and let children help with taking care of the animals. At the ‘Malpiehoeve’ children can play outside with karts, trampolines and large tricycles, or inside in the large indoor play area. They can also visit the stables and have a look at the milking robot. And why not take a break with a lovely ice cream or dish from the small menu? Ever wondered how little piglets grow up to be big pigs? Visit the viewing stall at the ‘Varkensboerderij’ pig farm, where the life of a pig is depicted in an educational and illustrative way, with a view of the stable from above.

Where can you still find a well-maintained playground with old-fashioned playground equipment? Right, in Valkenswaard. Climbing, scrambling, swinging and rushing down slides large and small: your kids can play to their hearts' content, while you relax on one of the playground's many benches. A rainy day? No problem! Children can still play and horse around for hours in the large indoor play paradise.
